The Challenges

Start-up and shut-down pumps in an uncontrolled manner (On-Off) creates high electrical loads and water hammer in the system. While it’s possible to treat surges in the system, it makes more sense to prevent them by implementing effective control.

Our Solution

Installing a pump control using an Active Check Valve, insulates the pump from the line during Start-up and Shut-down, thereby ensuring controlled and restrained entry and exit of the pump flow, without surge or electrical load. The BR-740 controller (Vision PLC) is connected to the sensors of the pumping system (temperature, load, etc.) and schedules the operation of each pump and its Active Check Valve.

Reliable & simple pump control

Farmers benefit from a reliable and simple solution for operation, calibration, and long-term protection of the irrigation system, operational flexibility (N.O., N.C.), as well as saving on maintenance costs for the pumps, valves, solenoids and lines.
